My Thoughts on Productivity

Of course, we all want to say we can do it all. And it makes it 100p more glorifying if we can say we do it all 110 % of the time. But have you ever felt that even "doing it all" doesn't ultimately give you it all? Here is a brief post about my thoughts on productivity. As a college student it was quite easy for me to work hard, earn good grades, wake up early, and still manage to find time to go out with friends 3-4x a week. This was my schedule for 4 years of my life, I loved it and now I'm finito! Still not over it when I tell people that I graduated in May. Now that I am back home, I haven't had much of a schedule. Correction, I haven't had the same schedule I did when I was in school 5 days a week. Although I don't have this same schedule I have learned to create one for myself. I usually choose to wake up early, workout, eat some good food, post something fun on my Instagram, and kind of just bop around all day doing whatever it is I can think of! But some days, I choose not to follow this schedule and here is why.
I found that the times when I would get so caught up in following my routine (especially in college) I lost the sense of joy I got from having nothing planned. Believe me, this can be super hard for those Type A ballers out there (aka ME). Seriously, though. Not being my most productive self on every occasion was SO SO hard to fathom but most importantly it became draining. I learned slow and steady that this type of "do everything all at once" mentality was not helping my mental stamina and didn't allow me to give my true self to said project, plan, or social event. So here I am now sharing my semi-productive life with you and I sure as hell love it.
Everyday I try my BEST to post a food pic or lifestyle picture on Instagram in hopes that someone reading will connect with what I have to say. Yes, I love this platform I have created and I love everyone who finds it to be so helpful to leading a healthier lifestyle. Truth be told though, I could use a break. And I am sure that there is some type of obligation you have tied yourself to that you too could also use a break from. Take a step back, think about what it truly is you want to achieve and then find the spaces in your life where you can slow it down while still achieving XYZ goal! You would be so surprised how much taking this time to reflect will enhance your productivity in the long run! I hope after reading this post you have given some thought to taking the necessary time to somewhat reinvent your productivity. After all, "Your worth is not measured by your productivity."
