The Perfect Bar

Here's a quick review of a new favorite that I was hesitant to spend money on (for fear it would taste like poop), but am SO glad I tried, because it was life changing to say the least. I went to Wholefoods the other day (kind of a bad idea because I spent all my mom's money on coconut oil and nut butter), but the BEST PART about my trip was while I was patiently standing in line, & got a little hangry. This bar actually saved my life... not being dramatic here.
300 calories of pure goodness with 16 g of protein - What's not to enjoy ?
Here is the link for the nutritional value of 1 Blueberry Cashew Bar if you are curious:

With too many flavors to chose from I took my pick at two flavors I knew would not disappoint: Blueberry Cashew and Coconut Peanut Butter. I was only able to take a picture of the Coconut Peanut Butter flavor because I impatiently ate the other in line, but it was a new flavor anyway, so I did myself a favor to try it out early, right !?!
One thing to note, because these bars are packed with so many poly & monounsaturated fats (the best fats you can find) it is important that you keep them refrigerated and enjoy immediately after removing them from the fridge. They can also be enjoyed a couple hours later after they start to get warm and melty, lol just might be a bit of a mess if you are eating in public.
I would recommend these bars to anyone who doesn't like to prepare their own meals or enjoys substituting meals with protein bars or shakes! It really is whatever works for you . . . I enjoy them as a very filling snack if I know I won't be eating a prepared meal until later. On the website you'll find all the various product flavors, but to give you a low down of the quality ingredients behind these bars here are a few of the selling factors for me:
1) Complex Carbohydrates from the organic honey that is used as a binding agent and sweetener, or the vegan bars that are sweetened with dates (basically the mother of all natural sweeteners >> refer to my homemade energy bites under Recipes !
2) Quality protein sources (many from the raw nuts and seeds used in creating the flavors of each unique bar)
3) They are gluten free for individuals who may suffer from celiacs or have been avoiding gluten for personal reasons
I hope you go out and buy some for the week ahead or order in bulk online at their website / amazon ! PS: send me some if you're feeling super generous ;) Xo
